Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering.
  • 3-6 years of process engineering experience in a cGMP setting for small-molecule API and/or oral solid dosage production.
  • Basic understanding of fundamental chemical engineering principles and the engineering lifecycle related to process design through installation.
  • Broad understanding of upstream and downstream unit operations including reaction, extraction, crystallization, filtration, drying, and extrusion-molding. Experience with every unit operation is not required, but the ability to quickly understand and build a working knowledge of a new unit operation is a requirement.
  • Working knowledge of chemical simulation and/or process automation. Experience with both is a plus.
  • Familiar with common modeling and simulation tool sets in chemical engineering, such as DynoChem, gPROMS, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, Aspen Plus, COMSOL, etc.
  • Ability to assist in determining equipment specifications and draft PFDs/P&IDs.
  • Experience with developing and/or executing Commissioning, Equipment Qualification, and Performance Qualification documents.
