Patrizio Vinciarelli is the Chairman of the Board, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Vicor Corporation, a global leader in high-performance power modules.  Dr. Vinciarelli founded Vicor in 1981, and has led the company since then.

Prior to founding Vicor, Patrizio was a fellow at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Princeton, New Jersey, and an instructor at Princeton University. From 1973 to 1976, he was a fellow at CERN, the Center for Nuclear Research in Geneva, Switzerland. Dr. Vinciarelli received his doctorate in Physics from the University of Rome, Italy.

Patrizio has authored more than 40 papers in peer-reviewed journals, and holds more than 100 patents on power electronics/conversion technology.

Patrizio was recently awarded the prestigious 2019 IEEE William E. Newell Power Electronics Award for his visionary leadership in the development of high-efficiency, high-power-density power conversion components for distributed power system applications.
